PET TIPS

HAS THE AMOUNT OF SNACKS AND TREATS INCREASED DURING QUARANTINE?
We are spending more time at home with our pets and, just like us, they got out of their routine as well. Some of them are able to take more walks outside, now that their owners are at home, others less, but for sure one thing they all share: the increase on the offer of snacks or other food at home!

Excessive quantity of snacks and the supply of other foods, configure a change in the routine, and can cause changes in their intestinal transit, causing diarrhea and discomfort. That's why we must protect our friends' intestinal health!

Offering probiotics and Glutamine to pets at this time can help improving and even prevent these intestinal changes. A sudden change, both in routine and in food, can lead to an imbalance of the intestinal microbiota, causing pathogenic (bad) bacteria proliferation.

What is a probiotic? A probiotic is nothing more than a supplement that has bacteria and yeasts beneficial to the intestine and, when in greater quantities in the intestine, may reduce the proliferation of pathogenic bacterias, restoring the balance of the animal's intestinal microbiota, and even preventing diarrhea.

Glutamine also helps in the recovery of the intestinal wall, allowing the intestine to better absorb nutrients and have a better recovery from diarrhea symptoms.

Unresolved diarrhea can lead to other health problems and, therefore, it is very important to pay attention to the balance of intestinal health, thus allowing our pets to remain healthy by our side, as what we want the most is for them to be healthy with us.
