PET TIPS

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR PET´S HEALTH!
And what do we really mean by health?

The World Health Organization (WHO) points out that the concept of health is much broader than the simple absence of disease: it is a complete state of physical, mental and social well-being and, therefore, deserves attention in all its aspects .

The current moment is delicate and the concept of health is more comprehensive today than ever. Like physical health, mental health is an integral and complementary part of maintaining our body's vital functions.
And how can we keep our health (physical and mental) up to date? We have set aside some tips that can help you put your ideas in place, take care of your health and your family (humans and pets).

1. Exercise!
The importance of physical activity for health is directly related to improving the quality of life, considerably reducing the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, problems related to low immunity, in addition to doing a darn good to our mental health. You can (and should) insert your pet into this. Say no to a sedentary lifestyle together and take time out of your day to go for a walk, run and/or play with your pet.

2. Drink water and eat well
Don't underestimate this tip! It may seem obvious, but if you're working from home right now, it's possible that your diet and hydration may go unnoticed. Not drinking water (or drinking too little) can cause symptoms on the short and long term. So take some breaks, make yourself reminders and drink water! Keep a balanced diet and offer your pet an equally quality diet, always following the guidelines of the Veterinarian.

3. Sleep well
Resting is essential for the proper functioning of the body. It is important to prioritize sleep as a fundamental time for relaxation of the body and mind. How about enjoying and going to bed earlier today cuddled with your pet? Surely your sleep will be better!

4. Positive thoughts always!
Pay attention to your thoughts. Don't let negativity take over. Don't think about problems all the time and know that life has its ups and downs, and no one is happy all the time. Be kind to yourself, accept the lows, and visualize the highs that will come back soon.
And what does your pet have to do with that? It knows you are the most wonderful person in the world. Did you need something better than that for self-esteem?

5. Make time for yourself
Life can be busy, but how often do you stop and do something you really enjoy? Consider taking the time to do what you enjoy: a sport, a hobby, meditation, or anything that makes you feel good about yourself and allows you to think about your next steps.

6. Make a periodic check up
It's not because everything looks fine that you shouldn't have (at least) an annual checkup. Pick yourself a trustworthy family doctor, talk to him and have your check ups done periodically. And don´t forget you pet´s check ups too! Your best friend's health also needs to be closely evaluated by a Veterinarian. After all, prevention is always the best option.

7. Keep your pet's vaccination and deworming up to date
The health of everyone in the house must be considered, and pets cannot be left out. In addition to the periodic check ups, make sure their vaccinations and deworming are up to date. It protects not only our pets, but everyone who lives with them in the house. Always talk to the veterinarian.

We can list many other ways to stay healthy. But each individual must choose what is best for him, physically and mentally. Make a list, keep it in sight, and make sure your and your family´s health are top priorities.
